QR-Codes for Plant/Equipment
The SiteBook mobile app can be used conjunction with QR-codes attached to plant & equipment to view the details of plant and perform pre-start check lists.
Assigning a QR-Codes to Plant (Website)
1. Go to Plant/Equipment from the SiteBook Home page.
2. Select the Vehicle/plant you want to set up a QR Code for, scroll down to the QR codes section and add a new QR code unique to this plant (The shorter the better).
Creating the QR-Codes for Plant (Website)
1. QR Codes:
a. Make your own QR codes with a QR Code generator and a
printer/sticker generator.
b. Purchase a roll of QR-Code stickers with unique Ids. (Optional) (See numbering section below)
2. Attach the stickers to the plant. (Please note QR codes need to be clear and legible devices to scan them. Consider wear and tear and fading when purchasing)
3. Scan the QR-code. The ID on the QR -Code will be recorded against the plant.
Numbering of QR-Code stickers
When printing QR-Code stickers, the numbers must be unique and preferably numbered sequentially. Here is an example:
First QR-Code in the sequence/run: P001 (where P is for plant)
Last QR-Code in the sequence/run: P050 (for a total of 50 stickers)
Assigning a QR-Codes to Plant (Mobile App)
1. Open the mobile app, open the menu and select the Vehicle/Plant menu option.
2. Select the Vehicle/plant you want to set up a QR Code for, select the details section, scroll down to and select the Show QR codes option.
3. Add a new QR code unique to this plant (The shorter the better) and save.
Scanning a QR-Codes
The camera on the mobile phone can be used to scan QR-Codes assigned to plant:

1. The user must be logged in to the mobile app
2. The User must have permission to access that plant record.
